Problem: Program called Ipod will not uninstall and I can’t delete it.
other info: I have tried everything I know to remove this program and I deleted most of the software, but there are a few of it’s files that simply won’t delete. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me delete the rest of this software. I have an XP. Thanks

Problem: A friend of mine is actually having this problem – She gets messages indicating to install either Flashplayer or ActiveX (I can’t remember which one she mentioned or maybe it was both?) and she goes through the process of installing as requested. Then everything seems fine. The next day she boots up her PC and she gets those messages back and has to go through the process all over again. I wasn’t sure what to tell her since I haven’t encountered that problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help – thanks.

hi,i hope u all can help me with this…..im having problem with my computer,im using windows vista, the main thing is why cant i play a game, thay say only can play in windos xp….plz help me with this….thank you

  4. Tim Says:

Cena, Try right clicking on the game and select properties. Then click on the compatibility tab. “check” the box under Compatibility mode” and select in the drop down box the type of operating system you need. I won’t promise that you can do this in Windows Vista, but, this is the only thing I know. Good luck! Hopefully others may have a thought?

Windows XP keeps rebooting. My PC has been fine for years, then just this past Monday,I downloaded and installed the newest version of FireFox. Again everything was fine as I used the browers for hours until shutting off the PC. When I turned it back on the next day, it keeps rebooting. Sometimes it gets up to the logon screen (I has her PC password protected), but before you can type in the password, it blinks the “monitor shutting off message” and reboots. You can hear it look at the floppy drive and cd-rom drive. So it’s really rebooting. This goes on forever. I tried bringing it up in SAFE MODE, same thing happens. Finally I got in, get this, as it’s rebooting you get about 2 seconds at the screen that lets you pick “windows normal mode or recover mode”, on there you can pick F5 for more options, one of those is LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION, I pick that , then it comes up ok and everything works fine. I tried
turning back the clock, went back a whole week which fried FireFox. I
downloaded the updates and ran several anti-virus programs, I have no
viruses. But once I reboot or shut it down and turn it back on, the whole
things starts all over again. What is strange, it works everytime I do the F5 and LAST KNOW GOOD CONFIGURATION. So, why can’t I shut it off? How do I make the PC use the LAST KNOW GOOD CONFIGURATION each time it boots?

The biggest problem, like most pcs sold in the past several years, all I
have is a recover cd which will PUT THE PC BACK TO THE WAY IT LEFT THE FACTORY. I’m willing to do this, after backing up my data files. But it
will take hours to recover, as I will have to reinstall the network, printer,
scanner, all my games, download all the spam/blocker/anti-virus programs all over again. I haven’t had time yet to check FireFox website to see if there might be a bug in the newest version.

Any idea how to get this WindowsXP working again.

  6. Tim Says:

This is for Cyndi, Try using System Restore to a prior date before you installed the latest version of Firefox. Won’t promise that this will work, but, this does help some problems. Good Luck!

I am trying to hook up camera system and online monitor from http://www.x10.com After all day I finally got it set up correctly, but still have trouble with the program online to view and swap between cameras. THAT company’s techs said ‘it looked like it was trying to connect, but just wouldn’t'…

Now emails, etc, works fine… there are a few internet settingso n the program.

    1. Connection. Gives option of Local Network or DIal up, and the comp IS set on a wireless router.

    2. Internet Settings. 2 options, Proxy or no proxy.

    3. Export HTML.

    A. Location- and either local/default, or FTP

    B. File Names… and it has a box, then .html…. ??

    ANy help would be awesome!

I have same problem as Cyndi but with IE 7.0 (which Windows said was a critical updae). I’v euser restore before but this install wiped out all restore points.

How can I make LAST KNOW GOOD CONFIGURATION the “NOW” configuration?

Or how can I even see what the LAST KNOW GOOD CONFIGURATION is?

  10. Will Says:

Answer – same problem as Cyndi – Windows XP keeps restarting. I’m widdleing down the problem with “MSCONFIG” With all but normal it works – now I have to work on the start up files.

  11. Tim Says:

Answer for Will – I don’t know if this will work, but, after you have booted with the last
GOOD CONFIG, try downloading and running REGSCRUBXP to clean up the system registry. You may have a problem there. This is just a guess on my part, because I am surprised that system restore didn’t help. I won’t promise that this will help. Just a thought – good luck

Can someone help with a problem with Microsoft Viso 2003. Once I have selected either the text tool or the connector tool, I cannot get it switched off. In Visio 2000 all you had to do was click on the selected tool to switch it off..

  13. Tim Says:

Hi Gwen, Not knowing anything at all about Microsoft Viso, the only thing I can suggest is to check out this website:

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/visio/FX100649221033.aspx

    Hope this helps

I want to send an email to over 100 users. however I dont want any of the recievers view emails of the forwarded list. how to do that ?

  15. Tim Says:

To Marwan: One thing you could do is assign the first copy of the email to your address and then “Blind Carbon Copy” or BCC the rest. The only thing that others will see is your email address listed as the one being sent to.

I would like to add Microdoft Visio 2003 to Office 2003 on my Windows XP notebook. I found Visio 2003 Standard full and Visio 2003 standard upgrade. What is the difference? What is ti upgrading from? I need the simplest, cheapest version. Which one should I buy?
