Ok, after being in data processing for over 18 years, I am fully aware and very much appreciate the NEED for security. With that said, I find one thing a little bit extreme when it comes to this topic. It’s when it’s decided that a PC’s screen saver is set to less than a time of 20 to 30 minutes until it goes active. It only proves one point here. Those behind this kind of decision do not have to deal with it on a daily basis. This especially applies to PC’s in a computer room where Computer Operators have a need to access the PC throughout the shift. Let’s be real here, 30 minutes is very much sufficient unless, the area of concern is frequented by “outsiders” more often than not. That would be a consideration for this type of action. But, computer rooms (data centers) don’t normally have this kind of traffic.
Break is over
July 27, 2009Well after quite a siesta, I’, getting back into action here. I hope to be bringing more posts in the future. This blog continues to be dedicated to bring information on sharing problems and solutions for PC users. For starters and for the purpose of quality, I am planning on monthly updates to start with (at minimum). What I would love to hear about is if there is any comments, complaints, suggestions or opinions of this blog. Please reply to this post with any comments at all.
Google Chrome FAST Facts
July 27, 2009I just installed Google Chrome today and it’s probably one of the most fastest installs I’ve ever done. Not to mention that it is fast in loading pages. While it’s early, I have not encountered anything that I find as a problem. However, if I do, I’ll post it. I like Chrome’s tab feature. I like FAST and I can’t stand it when you are sitting there waiting especially when a browser crashes when closing which I find Firefox is guilty of now and then. Try Google Chrome today – Check it out and see for yourself: http://www.google.com/chrome

Sometimes you need to go back to the first!
July 26, 2009After a tough time of debating and searching, the answer hits you! The first theme is what works best. For all you who have been faithful to my blog, this theme will seem familiar. I did change the header image to one that I feel may fit. I am hoping this is it.
