Just place the CD in the drive, and at the boot prompt, enter "toram", and the operating system will be copied to RAM, and run from there. Then you can remove the CD from the CDROM drive. Keep the system up as long as you want. Normally, you would need a "swap partition", but with the new PC's running a GB or two of RAM, that is not necessary.
