In 2006, for months, I’ve been telling my wife what I wanted for Christmas. Well, one of the things I wanted, I got. I got a 512MB USB Flash Drive.
I created 2 batch files (bat) that archive or ZIP my files. They copy the files to a specific directory. When done, I insert my Flash Drive and all those files are backed up to it. The neat thing is, if you loose your hard drive, this Flash drive will plug in to any PC that has a USB port. I just love it. I also use it for a portable PC if the need would exist. I will warn you that they seem to run a little bit slower than the PC. But, it’s worth having. It will sure make restoring files easier from the backups. Some of you may disagree with this method, but, I’m happy.
